HySelect project partner Aalto University (AALTO) has published a Master’s thesis titled “Construction and Optimization of SO₂ Depolarized Electrolyser” on August 21, 2023. The thesis, authored by Narayana Prasad, Pragya, under the supervision of Annukka Santasalo-Aarnio, is part of the Master’s programme in Energy Storage.

Within HySelect, a SO₂ Depolarized Electrolyser (SDE) is being developed at the Duisburg site of our poject partner GRILLO-Werke AG (Grillo). This European project will demonstrate the production of hydrogen (H₂) by splitting water through the Hybrid Sulphur cycle (HyS) via concentrated solar technologies (CST) with an attractive efficiency and cost.
